not enough of the good stuff, too much of the dross.

New Wave music was a genre of music from the 1980s. This was the peak era of MTV and many of these bands had a very visual aesthetic. For me, it was great to hear some classics from bands I loved. Think most of my New Wave music is on vinyl and I no longer have a working record player. The CD starts with INXS (a great band). I was surprised the band played after Michael Hutchence’s (lead singer) death in 1997. Terence Trent D’Arby sang with them! I was rather surprised that many of these bands still continue to play today including Adam Ant, Psychedelic Furs, Echo and the Bunnymen, Tears For Fears. I recently borrowed another New Wave CD that had Madness and Devo and they both continue to play. Some of these bands I only remember from MTV – Big Country, General Public. Others I would have to dig through my vinyl or probably had on cassette tape favorites like INXS and R.E.M. A nice flashback to the 1980s.

These people can't sing a all. he music isn't great either. Not recommended.

This is a fun collection. There are a lot of great songs here, but my favorite is "Tenderness" by General Public. For me, the only duds are "Desperate But Not Serious" by Adam Ant and "Lies" by Thompson Twins.
