Starting off with Scott & Bailey, and then onto this (after discovering Suranne Jones in Gentleman Jack), I see her progression and growth as an actress. She is fabulous at playing a woman driven mad by love. I wanted to like Gemma Foster, but she is cunning and devious, I actually think her actions are not justified. I want to see what they do with Season 2, it's almost as if they didn't expect this to go past Season 1. It was pretty wrapped up by the end.

I'm actually shocked she wasn't arrested by the end. My goodness me, only in tv could someone get away with what she did.

But, Suranne Jones is one of my new favorites, and if you like her acting, watch Gentleman Jack.

I'd never have come across this had I not heard Suranne Jones was the lead. I enjoy her acting, although this doesn't do justice to her full range as I've seen in Gentleman jack. I liked this storyline, the wife's containment & plotting that reveals how clever, somewhat devious, she can be. What a scumbag husband.

Definitely a TV SERIES. I pray NO WOMAN is that dull witted and lost. The story line started off interesting and then quickly fell into an oblivion of complete nonsense. Thumbs down for me. 👎🏻

Always a quirky character (see Coronation Street early 2004 on Youtube) ,Suranne Jones can be truly spooky.

The secrets, lies and revenge of an apparent "pleasantville" of a marriage. About as depressing as winter weather. Made me consider isolation in a remote cottage basement replete with a loaded gun and a bottle of whisky! Lead actress worth checking out in "Scott and Bailey," otherwise "Doctor Foster" can go to Gloucester and never come back again!!

Intense drama with a few twists. Kinda leaves you in a cliff-hanger situation awaiting season two.

Really like it. Thot it was a tight and interesting script. Could relate but not so clever in getting even. But, she a MD and had lots of opportunities. Kept my interest.

A wonderful actress plays a completely unbelievable woman. The fault is in the writer who seems to base this character's ridiculous actions on a need to fill each episode with a story line. Somehow, though, she never has time to come her hair.

Another hit series! Characters all have depth and, like real people, none are all good or all bad. Enough going on to keep your attention. Originally just a miniseries, public demand has convinced them to continue it as a series. Yay!

I guess it's a thing - the subject of 2 videos and 1 novel I've checked out this month. Accomplished woman discovers her longterm relationship is a web of lies, goes crazy. Hey, I've been on this rodeo myself, but it never got this ugly. Dr Foster milks the melodrama out of her situation until you just want to throw something at her. She's dragged her child, friends, patients and just about the whole town through the mud - what could possibly be left for a season 2?
