Love this book! Stories are better than weapons! Friends to read with are better than foes to slay!

We absolutely loved this book! We appreciated the literature ties with the griffin, troll, and dragon. The concept of "it's okay to be different" hit home when the mouse returned and his parents finally learned to accept him as who he is (a knight who won't fight).

Great book that also encourages knowledge and peaceful interactions. The verse is also very entertaining. Enjoyed this book much more than the author's other book, The Snatchabook. Easier for my recent 4 yo to follow along and understand the character interactions.

Leo is a knight that would rather read than fight. When pressed into service to tame a dragon, Leo uses his kind heart and his favorite stories to tame a wild griffin, a troll, AND a dragon. A fun story that also shows the power of a good story.
