3 stars. This series is overall exciting and especially addicting. They are good books, but not award winning or anything like that. This book picks up right where the last one did. Brooke is found dead and Reed is the main suspect. And umm Steve, Ella's father, is back? All along I had a feeling he wasn't actually dead, but I still never expected to be right. Now Steve wants to be a father and everything. As for the murder case, although the Royals believe Reed is innocent, all evidence shows the opposite. There is suspense, romance, betrayal and most of the love for family. Ella Harper will do anything for these Royals. This series reminds me SO MUCH of Anna Todd's "After series" which is based on Hardin and Tessa, two college students. They were polar opposites and complete enemies, but over time fell for each other. The two series both have LOVE-TO-HATE-RELATIONSHIPS. As for the characters, I pretty much love all of them except for Steve. I don't really have a reason, but I just hate the guy. Ella has a really strong and brave personality, and so does Reed. The twins and Easton are probably the funniest characters and I love them to pieces. They always crack jokes and make sarcastic comments. As for the ending... Definitely did not see that coming. Wtf... *Shocked expression
