I actually enjoyed this sequel a bit more than Openly Straight, the first installment in the series. Ben is a uniquely fascinating character, particularly in terms of young adult literature tropes and personas, and I very much appreciated this peek into his head.

A prep school, characters with conflicts stemming from sexual and gender identity, issues of finding integrity within--all of these factors worked together to make me feel like I now have a deeper understanding of growing up.
