THIS IS NOT "A stranger to Command" by Sherwood Smith. This is "Stranger" by Rebecca Brown (and Sherwood Smith) , the first book in the "Change" series.

PLEASE EDIT THIS LISTING!!!

I THINK right now I may muster up and write a cohesive review. You see, beforehand I was rather overcome by the overt epicimosity of this book, but see, that is another story. Before I begin a short digression is perfunctory: Whomever refrained from checking out "Crown Duel" from the library paperback YA? Thank you.

Sherwood's mastery of world-building (in such a way only spending forty-three years writing it can manage), character-building and independent writing style...(Look, as that does not sound extremely propitious is IS a very good writing style, if you don't mind that sort o' thing) is apparent. I adored every mention of similarities to "Crown Duel", each same character, according kingdoms, and a nice cast of new ones, too.

Evidently this is not as cohesive a review as I expected; my thoughts appear to be confined to mute admiration. (I have a talent for unintentional hyperbole. TRUST ME this book is excellent) But this book is splendid.
Thanks for reading!

I think the books you want are in the omnibus volumn "Crown Duel" which DBRL does have.
