This book really kicked off the Warriors series with a bang. The plot is great and the characters all have obvious personalities. Rusty seems fairly docile at first... but once you get into the series it gets interesting.

So I put the description through Google translate; here is what came out

The first test is a fabulous tale of war for the first time, having found a series of four countries, a country, and the price of their plays focusing on the wild animal's habit: the hunter is a type of friendship. Debt. In addition to towels, slightly better rust and a "towel" suit, has become the life of wildlife may be a threat to the coast of the wild. When he goes on to prove to the peasant, a legendary land of his own is trying to become skilled, and waiting for the prince of the tribes it valves, invites us to cross is made by "real, real big dog." The Star's' We Should Not Be Trained, And Some Were Already Become Pets, When I Will Brandish Is Very Angry With The Tribal Commander Of Their Fathers, Gets Him, To Their Friends, The Finger Of The Cat, But Huang Does Not Want to Shelton. Where there is no shadow of the shadow of the leaders of the leaders of their families, after their place, among the wild and fishing animals called Windscale, which was preparing for the theater of the city, there was a distinct movement. (Here's the second story, "Fire and Ice" will be released in June.) At any rate, so no one can kill is too great and the cat inside is a young reader's dream. Over 10 years. (100)

Warriors is an amazing series; my favourites are the first arc and Dawn of the Clans by the way.

This is a great book. I would recommend this book to grade 5 and up because there is no profanity. Also because the author explains everything really well. If you are a cat lover then you must read this series.

YES! You are DEFINITELY right, hobsonanne! The warrior cats series is my favourite series AND I'm only up to the second series, Midnight (Book one series two)! Pls don't spoil any cats that I don't know yet but if you are reading this comment then pls tell me what your favourite cat is in the whole first series. Mine is probably either Firestar, Whitestorm, Cinderpelt, Yellowfang or Bluestar but all of them are good. Remember to tell me what yours is! BTW that was mean, kevin. Warriors is a really good series and it's no place for people to be insulted/offended.

"The Clan may not be able to offer you such easy food or warmth. In the season of leaf-bare, nights in the forest can be cruel. The Clan will demand great loyalty and hard work. You will be expected to protect your Clan with your life if necessary. And there are many mouths to feed. But the rewards are great. You will remain a tom. You will be trained in the ways of the wild. You will learn what it is like to be a real cat. The strength and the fellowship of the Clan will always be with you, even when you hunt alone."

Into the Wild is the first book in a series of 6 books, Warriors: The Prophecies Begin. This part of the story covers how an ordinary house-cat named Rusty enters the forest, as the book title suggests, to catch a mouse, only to be confronted by a patrol of feral cats. They first tell him to leave, but after showing his interest in joining their Clan, they offer him training. Meanwhile, a sinister Shadowclan is planning something, something that only the subject of a prophecy received many moons ago can stop.

Into the Wild follows the adventures of a house cat named Rusty. One day, he is invited to join ThunderClan, one of the four Clans of wild cats living in the nearby forest. Rusty agrees, is taken into the Clan, and receives the new name Firepaw. Firepaw becomes friends with fellow apprentice Graypaw, but also encounters hostility due to his outside origin. The real reason, however, that Firepaw was asked to join the Clan, is due to the fact that there is a prophecy that states that "Fire alone can save our Clan". Firepaw encounters various adventures in his training to become a warrior, and receives his warrior name, Fireheart at the end of the novel.

INTO THE WILD is the story of a domestic cat, a kittypet named Rusty, who joins a community of feral cats known as ThunderClan. ThunderClan is one of several feral communities occupying adjoining territories; Rusty is drafted to train as a warrior to help protect the traditional borders of ThunderClan territory as other clans threaten to overrun them. This was an engrossing read, with believable characters and situations. My original fears that it would fall into cutesy-poo language -- talking cats, after all! -- and situations were unfounded. In fact I admire the author''s ability to create immediately understandable terms used by the cats -- sunhigh for noon, for example. INTO THE WILD is the first in the author''s Warriors series, and is followed by FIRE AND ICE, FOREST OF SECRETS, RISING STORM, A DANGEROUS PATH, and THE DARKEST HOUR. The series has also led to a sister series, Warriors: The New Prophecy, with three books to date: MIDNIGHT, MOONRISE, and DAWN.
