One of his better "recent" books. He's been slacking off and letting his co-authors do most of the heavy lifting.

This book was slow at times but entertaining. I've found most of his books, as well as other authors, pick up the pace as they get toward the last half. True I didn't read this one as quick as some others but was still good.

I know eventually nanamama will have to die but that will be a fantastic character loss. The one chapter where there's a voice in the basement and Bree grabs a gun and nana grabs an iron skillet was great. And I can just picture her, 92 years old, somewhat tall but slender African American lady, in an apron, grabbing a skillet. AND being still strong enough to hold and swing it.

James Patterson has co-authored some good reads with some of his co-authors. But, he is clearly at his best when he writes solo. This latest in the Alex Cross series of books is really well done. The story line is highly engaging with the usual multiple cases going on at once. The characters who are always part of his Cross series are well done as usual, and the new additions are well developed. No spoilers from me. Great read. Enjoy!

Slow moving. Disappointment. Nothing here to make a page turn. I would have put it down but am in the lockdown with not much else to read. Pass on this one. Along came a spider was a page turner.
