Clever illustrations (Monkey's "hear-a-lot" tool is a used can of banana soup pressed against the wall) and fun story make for a great lap book to read with younger kids, or a good book for older kids with a silly sense of humor to read alone. Not recommended for storytimes since the illustrations are too detailed.

This is an adorable picture book with delightful pictures of Chico Bon Bon, monkey with a tool belt. He hears a strange noise in his house and tries to track down the problem. With his action packed, gadget-of-every-kind tool belt he is ready to fix it, whatever it may be! Staff picks July 2010
