New York Times bestselling author Gena Showalter's latest paranormal novel features the return of her sexy breed of alien huntresses.

Devyn is a warrior, and an unrepentant collector of women, able to charm anyone. Anyone except Bride McKells. Uneducated in the ways of the vampire, Bride is not even sure if other vampires exist. Seductive Devyn has the answers she craves, and he can take her to the dark underground of her people. But Bride's blood might hold the key to saving Devyn's friends, so he's loathe to let her go. Especially when he begins to crave her more than he's ever craved another. Together they enter the seedy world of slave auctions, battle a powerful alien queen whose diseased blood turns humans into cannibals, and discover a passion unlike any other. But in the end, Bride must choose between the man she's come to love and the family she's always longed for.

This book was a great read with lots of action takeing place during this story, including a dangerous virus that is killing people, while Devyn and Bride are trying to solve that puzzle they are also falling in love. It was great to see the great Devyn fall :-) I enjoyed catching up with some of the characters from the other Alien Huntress Novels,
especially Dallas who I am eagerly awaiting his story, hopefully next. It was another great read from Gena Showalter.
When I had read this book I had been a little confused by two new characters - they are important to this book's character (Bride's Aleaha) and should be read first. You can read their story "Tempt Me Eternally" found in "Deep Kiss of Winter, a holiday collection with bite" by Gena Showalter and Kresley Cole. This book doesn't come up as part of the Alien Huntress Series but trust me read this before you read "Suduce the Darkness" you'll understand things better.

We first met Devyn in "Enslave me sweetly" with Eden Black and he proved (shockingly) to be a loyal friend to her even if he is a womanizer who refused to ever bed a women from the same race twice. Eden is from a race he wants to sleep with badly but he helped her instead. In this book he happens to ran into Bride on the street when she scents her missing shape shifting friend who she’s been searching for years for. She decides that sticking to him like glue with the hope he’ll lead her to her friend is her best course of action. Plus, Bride has never met another vampire and Devyn promises to take her to see the others who live underground. I tempting offer she can’t turn down. She wants to learn about herself, her parents and her race. Devyn’s can’t wrap his mind around why he's so drawn to Bride (who's a vampire and a race he's already slept with) but he can't stay away from her or wanting to please her before himself (a concept foreign to him). Lots of action takes place during this story, including a dangerous virus that his killing people that Bride’s blood seems to help cure, which has AIR wanting her badly and Devyn’ trying to protect her form them (he works for AIR) they somehow manage to fall in love, much to Devyn’s wonder, he finds he only ever wants one woman for the rest of his life. It was great to see some of the characters from her other books, especially Dallas who I am eagerly awaiting his story, hopefully next. It was another great read from Gena Showalter from the Alien Huntress Novels.
