In the near future, the Navy develops a stealth fighter plane. On board piloting the jet is an artificial intelligence computer. The jet is placed on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific to learn combat manuevers from the human pilots aboard. But when the computer develops a mind of its own, it's the humans who are charged with stopping it before it incites a war.

This looks like the version i have with dts 6.1 sound for your HOMETHEATER. My friend and i didn't really like the characters that much but the sound was very good for the stealth jets. The funny thing is my friend that enjoys talking to the screen mostly talked about how she didn't like this movie as much as "Top Gun". I, on the other hand, believe in judging a movie on it's own. I like the way the jet looked and enjoyed some of the flying scenes. This movie has good action and good sound but it was a little corny. I did buy this movie for $2.99 and added it to my collection. I give this movie 3 stars. I like the jets, the sounds, but as a whole it was a little corny. Perfect for eating popcorn, pretzels, cheese doodles, doritos, nachos, and ginger ale.

Easy, fun, action flick. Just don't expect any major plot twists. The story is cliched, but hey, it's a shoot-em up action movie.

If you are a fan of action movies like Top Gun, Hunt for Red October, The Battle Britain, Star Wars, then do not bother with this film. The CGI was very obvious and the backgrounds did not move as quickly as the planes were supposed to be flying. Here it is very interesting to compare The Empire Strikes Back, which filmed from an aircraft and then sped up the frames until the vision matched what would actually be seen from a high-speed aircraft. The plot in Stealth rather pushed the bounds of credibility. A flight from central Euroasia that passes over North Korea is not believable when a very very minor change in course would have avoided it -- just look at a map of Asia. Vertical take offs might look different from current technology: no one does it now simply because it wastes too much fuel -- again, just not believable. On this note, aircars moving vertically in Blade Runner are believable because crowding in cities would require it -- it is not not gratuitous special effects to hide a mediocre plot.
