Gotta say this series wasn't nearly as well done as series 1. It appeared several times as if Jason Isaacs was merely mailing it in, contractually obligated to this, following the success of series 1, but wishing he was elsewhere, like competing for the next James Bond, or Marlboro Man. (I haven't seen this much smoking since, "Sons of Anarchy" finished its run!) The stories aren't as rich as series 1, and the disasters that befall Jackson Brodie are too numerous to recount here. And, oh my goodness, (SPOILER ALERT!!) how he treats the woman he professes he loves at the end of series 1 (one of the best scenes ever!!) is stunning. I cannot see that happening EVER. Who would do that to someone?!? To me it made no sense, and just seemed as if everyone had somewhere better to be, and they needed to wrap. Stunning ending. Watch if you must, but this ain't the Jackson Brodie we all fell for in series 1.
