Comic book version actually bit more subversive. However, I liked the Pomp & Circumstance song with WTF special effect to counter villian's master plan or the running joke as barroom tosser aka protagonist's mother's loser boyfriend ignored lackey warning as protagonist locked the pub for a sweet science replay just like his predecessor. Film had just as much class, snark & fun as the graphic novel version as it made fun of the gentlemanly British character or My Fair Lady treatment on the working class teenager. A lot of nods & Easter Eggs with past James Bond films. Colin Firth made convincing job as secret agent. Film tilted toward brain than brawn & gadgets.
