When Winnipeg-born guitarist, Terry Jacks met singer, Susan Pesklevits here in Vancouver back in 1968, it was love at first sight. Indeed. And, together these 2 (along with Craig McCaw and Satwant Singh) formed the psychedelic pop group, The Poppy Family. And, although the Poppy Family's existence (along with Terry and Susan's marriage) only endured for 4 fleeting years - This union (through Terry's songwriting abilities) did produce a number of hit songs (that went international) and, with that, they went on to win a Juno award. "A Good Thing Lost" is a "Best Of" CD, containing 21 tracks in all which were recorded by this (almost) 100% Canadian quartet in the years from 1968-1973.
