Delinsky is a guilty pleasure for me. I like her way more than I ought to. This story of three sisters being "forced" to reconcile their lifelong differences because their mother manipulats them one last time by the simple expedient of not showing up is simply delicious. By focusing their anger on their mother, whom they've been taught was perfect, but with whom each has their own issues, forces them to deal with their own issues with each other. Very real sister story, I though. Leah and Jesse were a bit over the top, except as a reminder of where their mother had been decades before, and what she truly had given up for their happiness when they were not even born yet. Not a great book, but a worthwhile, fun one.
